i've just installed a local dns server, www, ftp can resolve thier ip's but
i'm having problems resolving our webmail client which runs on https, i've
already added PTR, A, www and MX records but https can't resolve. i can't
find any documentation regarding this, what did i miss?

TIA

Are you trying to check your https site outside your network? if that's the case I think your firewall is blocking the https port ( 443 ). have you tried to check your rules? btw try telnet'ng your local host..

telnet xxx.xxx.xx.xxx ( localhost ) 443

their should be a reply from that.. if in case you got a reply it means resolving https locally doesn't have problem..

hope this helps

Regards,
Ryan
