Have you edited you repository list on /etc/yum.conf or /etc/yum.repos.d/* ?

Hi Gideon,

Not yet. Before i didn't edit my yum repos but i can install softwares. But that was centos4.2. Is it different with 4.3 ? What will i put ?

the reason you were able to install before coz the repositories points to the cd installers as the source, but maybe in 4.3 it is commented out that's why its behaving that way, yum is similar to the apt-get utilities of debian, just provide the source list where to update your box.
