Please consider your I/O device…. Caching is more on  disk space and I/O beside you RAM or Power of your CPU

 

I’m using squid and dansguardian but I don’t have any problem with it.

Hi,

Has anyone here went through the same problem as mine, when squid and dansguardian made browsing so slow?
Any solution? the machine has  1GB RAM and P4 2.6Ghz, with much of the RAM is allocated for caching but it ooks like squid isn't happy after all.
