 XMPP has made its way far beyond simple instant messaging systems.
According to Saint-Andre, XMPP is being used by investment banks and first
responders like the Capital Wireless Integrated Network (CapWIN), and for
Internet whiteboard applications, and quite a bit more...


Wow! Looks like something worth looking at/pursuing. :)
