Are there any plans from PLUG to organize an event to celebrate Software Freedom Day?

Hi everyone, As an initial activity of the Bicol Open Source Society (BiOS), we will stage an early celebration of the Software Freedom Day on July 24, 2006, 8am-5pm at the Aquinas University of Legazpi, Legazpi City. The localized version will feature various activities to educate the public and advocate FOSS such as Installfest, CD Burnfest, Jobs Fair, Film Showing, technical sessions among others. We invite all Bicolanos/FOSS users who are nearby Legazpi City to come and join us in this celebration. Preparation of the venue will be on July22, Saturday starting 1pm (If you're kind enough, please be there as we need help). We still need volunteers, and we really need your help. If you also know of any firms who are in need of manpower with FOSS expertise, please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] so we could post it to our jobs fair. Let us show everyone that FOSS in Bicol ROCKS. Please pass the word.
