Your old hard disk reserved eth0 and eth1 for the old
nics' mac addresses and assigned the new nics' mac
address to eth2 and eth3.

Fire up your favorite text editor and point it to
/etc/iftab.  Remove the eth0 and eth1 entries and
rename eth2 to eth0 and eth3 to eth1.
