[plug] New to Linux. Hello!

Hi everyone!  I've just started trying Linux out (Ubuntu) and have a loooong way to go.  I'm hoping to learn a bit from all of you.  So far, I've been able to dual boot with XP on my antiquated computer (AMD 450mhz 128MB 8gig HD).  Yup, was able to squeeze both into it.   Can't set up my dial-up because of that winmodem issue.  I have a Conexant chipset and I'm not paying $20 to buy their driver!  So I use XP for surfing.

Anyway,  I was wondering if any of you can help me get a copy of openSUSE or simplyMEPIS?  It's been suggested to me to try SUSE; good for beginners.  I have the Ubuntu 5.04, so it's also old.  I had it shipped to me many months back.  If any of you want a copy (PC, Mac, and powerPC versions), you can have it.  Just let me know.

I'm also open to other distro suggestions.  I have no IT background, except the usual tweaking of Windows (maybe a little bit more knowledgeable than your average home user.)  Oh, and until I save up some money, my computer is running on crutches.
