It should, or else, its a bug ;)

If there is one thing I would like to be imposed in government, that
would be the mandatory use of open file formats irregardless of
platform. That way, even proprietary software companies can still join
the ball game and have market forces decide what platform becomes
ubiquitous in the future.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but a level playing field for all
participants is always favorable to the market.
