One of the reasons why FC might not be suitable for the said project
is that, FC is a moving target. Fast-paced development and releases
are quite often. If they want an rpm distro (in the veins of RH) they
may use CentOS. FC is newbie friendly too :)

P.S. OK I'm an RH/FC fanboy he he he.

There's nothing wrong with Fedora. It's just that it's the opinion of many
here in the mailing list that Ubuntu / Kubuntu would be better for the
project because it's more newbie friendly than Fedora Core.
