Under this project, the Company warranties the units
for service and parts for three years after
acceptance.

There are 40 to 50 service partners throughout the
country who have signed up. The service partners will
provide front line service in the various locations.

The service partners were trained in basic
troubleshooting and diagnosis last July 2006. There is
constant communications between the service partners
and the winning bidder. Additional refresher courses
are planned for the service partners.

The winning bidder has a group of three tech support
persons permanently assigned to the DTI-Deped Phase 3
project. They will be able to assist the service
partners as needed.

The service partners are paid for every service call
they do to the DepED-DTI schools. So, signing on with
the winning company earns money from them.

As far as I know, the winning bidder has not issued
any press release, since the bid was awarded. The
only news filtering out comes from the sub contractors
of the winning bidder and the government agencies
involved. This is the reason why some of the facts
behind this project is distored. It is only the
winning bidder who has the grasp of the entire project
(technical, financial, logistics, training, etc).

This is the bigger problem, however this is not part
of the bid specifications for this contract. In the
future, some groups might come in and provide this
piece of the puzzle.

See my answer above.

The training component is handled by STI. This is the
first DTI-DepEd PC for School project that has a
training component. Phase I and II of the project had
no training component.

This is most welcome, if volunteers come forward, we
can discuss the mechanics in greater detail.
