One negative feedback I recieved from Linux is that it boots longer than Wind0ze even with the unecessary services disabled.

I haven't used initng but definitely used upstart. There is an obvious
increase in boot up time and is backwards compatible. However, its
very much under experimentation at the moment and there's still a
chance it might not be included in the final release of Ubuntu Edgy.
But based on its performance during development cycle, it looks like
its going to stay.
