My printer server is unable to print from the network pc. From the host pc I already check ssh (its working properly) and already disabled the firewalls. But when I print I got this kind of error from /var/log/messages: hp: unable to open /var/run/hpiod.port: No such file or directory: prnt/hpijs/hplip_api.c 84. From the print manager (GUI) the printer stopped (accepting jobs) after the processing. Btw, I'm using SUSE 10.1 both the host pc and printer server.
Disclaimer: I don't use SUSE. Have you tried restarting hplip? Check that hpiod is running. As root, netstat -plant|grep hpiod should let you know. I'm assuming that your printer is an HP, otherwise you don't need hplip. _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
