Although I'm all for activism and issues advocacy, this mailing list is
the *wrong* place to post such. Please send such to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] . And I hope you don't misconstrue this
message as being against your campaign. :)
Thanks JM. I apologise to members of this list. I just took that risk to be flamed at. I did send before calls or info in the plug-misc list... but it really seems to be a very empty space. We need active techs like you to share what you know to promote and disseminate good practices for secure presence in online public spaces even if it's not on systems admin level.
I believe that everything is connected....I do believe that this call also touches on promoting use of Linux and FOSS.... the opportunity to let others know how it can solve most of our battle on viruses and intrusions. I believe that more that anyone else members of these list have a lot to contribute to our campaign (sorry for being selfish in that way).
I do hope that, despite the "maybe" distasteful means of getting your attention, I did catch your attention and you'll be able to contribute to the takebackthetech campaign.
Pls be gracious to send this campaign to lists where you think our call for participation to the takebackthetech campaign is appropriate.
