I don't really know why the PDI lets Banal keep his column -- he's consistently spread disinformation, and those who've been aggrieved have complained to the editor. I can understand that the PDI management allows columnists lots of leeway in regard to opinion, but when it comes down to facts, I believe they should clamp down on columnists who make it a habit of making up "facts".
In any case, Rep Teddy's letter deduct another 100 points from whatever credibility Banal has. -- Daniel O.
