Good point. If transparency is important, then why should code review be only limited to the government?

There is only one good reason for limiting access to source code: to protect vested commercial interests. Then these interests can do what they want without the people making sure they do what is right. That is why some people don't want code to be accessible.

But that's not what we want. We REAL transparency.
