when it comes to DVD-creation, i use that sparingly. most of the time i only 
use that for really important data (aka backups) that i cannot afford to lose 
(e.g. family pictures, etc.) . verification of 4GB+ data takes too long but 
that is the price we need to pay for an additional layer of confidence. :(
