Hi Joey, If you do end up re-installing the system , I suggest the ff. additional steps to minimize this ever happening again :
1) Tripwire the server & keep the resulting signature db file on a floppy. This will enable you to track if something has been changed, no matter how obscure & buried the program or config file is. 2) Minimize root access. Only you & a (very) few others should have root access. All others should only have access to their date, or if necessary dbadmin/application access to specific services.
