Here in Florida where I live, the average salary for a Windows admin is roughly $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 USD per year. Unix and Linux Admins generally start somewhere around $65,000.00 and go up to $80,000.00 USD per year. Why? MCSE's are everywhere, but good (really good) *nix admins are not as plentiful but are in much higer demand.
