> Any ideas where I got it wrong? Hi! You can get away with manually setting the DNS on /etc/resolv.conf but It would be so much simpler if you just setup DHCP.. Btw,windows don't usually allow pinging to them.. I fund this out when I was trying to setup my wifi network.. Are you running a WIndows gateway? Just setup the windows computer to do Internet connection sharing and apt-get install pump or dhclient..
