you could also try VLC :) for other stuff like libdvdcss, you can use
Automatix2.

You can try xine, totem, and mplayer.  You have to install deCSS to be
able to watch dvds, I guess.  If it is not included in xubuntu's
packages, I suggest you search the Internet for debs.  I believe it is
illegal to put it in their repositories.
