Well, it's a complicated question, and depends on what you mean by
"support". If you mean that HP/Compaq will support you if you try to
use GNU/Linux then the answer is an absolute no, no way in hell, not as
long as Microsoft's OEM licensing deals remain as they are.
Bad HP unless you are getting DL series :) But Dell has now
pre-installed Linux or better a operating less that gives you more
freedom to choose.
