I can normally connect using WeROAM on Ubuntu, Edgy, using the same instructions on the Sierra Wireless site but with a few modifications (like moving the firmware to /lib/firmware) and of course the APN and password changes.
Sometimes, pppd responds that there are no network protocols running when there's a problem on the provider side (PLDT). In my case, service usually comes back in a couple of hours. Are you still not connecting? Greg On 3/20/07, Michael Tinsay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
BL4 is quite a big download (700MB). I'll try to download it in the wee hours of the morning. It would be better is somebody here who has BL4 installed would post their .kppprc file. ;-) I took a look at the syslog, it seems that the WeROAM server is not giving me an IP address, but is giving out the DNS servers' ip's. --- mike t. ----- Original Message ---- From: Rage Callao <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Technical Discussion List <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2007 9:27:12 AM Subject: Re: [plug] PLDT WeROAM 3G On 3/19/07, Michael Tinsay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Has anybody gotten this to work in Ubuntu/Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy)? > > I'm trying it out now.
