I'm definitely NOT a coder/developer just a typical computer user. I used to tinker heavily with Linux couple of years ago but lately not much just occassional use of BLAG/Puppy and other live CD's. IMHO the journey to Linux will not be complete until you learn how to use an editor to edit text/config files, etc. In my case years ago it was [g]vim mainly because it was the default(?) editor of mutt. I was mesmerized by the power of mutt back then (and slrn). Ang pinakagusto ko ay ang colored fonts ibang klase talaga. I havent seen any counterpart of it in the windows world (i mean using a mailer in a console). Of course colored fonts is just one of the thousand capabilities of [g]vim. I remember trying emacs but too late i got 'poisoned' already by vim. Kaya yun vim ang editor ko.
Nowadays as age catches up with me i settle for easy to use things. But even in the MS world i still use vim whenever i can. I guess old habit is hard to break.
