More than two dozen public high schools here in Mindanao were installed with fedora core 4 based IBM deskstops last year through the PC for public schools program of DTI. Among the recipients, a public school up in the mountains of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, has been making folks from the T'boli tribe learn the use of FOSS and FC4

I forgot to mention the school, San Antonio de Padua College of Pila, Laguna. The school agreed to migrate to Linux when I was still a member of the PLUG board.

St. Paul College of Pasig have several PCs with Fedora.

can PLUG (or somebody interested) host a list of schools/colleges
currently using or teaching OSS for reference? i assume that
permission from the school would need to be obtained but somebody
in the local area could do the asking in behalf of PLUG.

    ciao!
