One anycast instance of i.root-servers.net is currently being deployed on one of the Internet Exchange point in Manila. I personally saw the cluster of machines used by autonomica/netnod and I am 100% sure it is running on a unix-based OS.
Wow! What a relief. And i had a problem verifying the info. My NMAP scans were ineffective. I neeed more practice. Or maybe not. I dont want to end up in a watchlist somewhere. A former colleague blurted it out when we were debating over Apple Macs and the abundance of malware for windows. Well hacking the root nodes is the most profitable of all targets. And its a bigger brag than just writing another doomsday, zero day malware. If it is not the biggest brag of all. It just shows that its not the market share of apple thats protecting it from malware.
