pdf2txt is just a shell wrapper around ps2ascii and friends. All Linux variants should have it.
there are some command-line switches for ps2ascii (which, in turn, is a wrapper for Ghostscript...) to enable it to digest higher-version Acrobat PDF documents. RTFM. :-) I don't have a Linux shell handy right now.. On 5/19/07, Roberto Verzola <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I found many pdf2txt versions on the Internet, most of which seem to run under Windows. I finally found one (v1.0) which was a Unix shell script that calls ps2ascii. I tried it but it complained that the pdf file (Namfrel report #13) did not follow Adobe specs and the output looked like garbaga to me. Did I miss something? Better yet: does anyone want to volunteer to keep track of the namfrel releases (pdf), convert them to csv, and share them with others (like me for example -- i will immediately post in on the halal website.) I have been suggesting that namfrel post the spreadsheet itself on its website.
