If it allows SSH then it should allow an SSL-based VPN as well. With GPRS
then, I was not successul in establishing an IPSec VPN, as it seems that their
gateway do not allow IPSec protocols to pass through. Same for L2TP protocols.
In my attempts (both IPSec and L2TP) I used an XDA O2 mini -- both as a
standalone client and acting as a GPRS modem connected to a laptop running
WinXP.

I haven't tried OpenVPN, which uses SSL VPN.

Hey, Shae:

You probably -- *most likely* -- can't do torrents or P2P, I think
(though I haven't tried).

FWIW, I'm using Smart 3G and can check my POP/IMAP mails, SSH to my
remote servers, and connect to Jabber -- you know, the 'common'
allowable ports.
