hello folks. I had been writing here about getting my USB NIC to work and it never did. Strangely enough though, I got my zd1211 based wifi nic ( http://www.justec.com.tw/productpage/wireless/jw54u.htm) to work on my 7.04Xubuntu. It is now recognized as eth0 which I setup via network-admin.
It can ping my other PCs on the network, as well as my gateway router 192.168.1.10. However, when I try to ping an outside IP or surf using Ffox I get Network is unreachable. I thought it was a DNS issue, but I tried accessing google ( http://208.67.216.230/) and that didn't work either. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. Help me out? TIA! Gary
