No, the cisco style serial port is on the Netra and current system
lines from SUN.

The thing is, the 450 has a peculiar serial port. It's using a DB25
serial connector
instead of the more popular DB9 connectors. If you can find a
connector, great, but
if not, then you have to make your own. The schematics are on:

As for your original question about distro choice, OpenSolaris. :)
