i tried your search query. wow! mukang dun ko makukuha sagot. i'll
look into the udev rules when i get there in the office.

yup. in my case (centos4.5), the automounted drive partition is on
/media/<LABEL> where <LABEL> is the volume name of my ext3 partition.
if i have sda1 (w/ label hd1) and sda2 (hd2), i get /media/hd1 and
/media/hd2 as mount points. hd1 & hd2 should not exist however.
