hi
I have two box with both ubuntu dapper on it 1st is a 32 bit all of it
peripherals are working 2nd a 64bit all seem are working but the only problem
is I can't see any lpt or parallel port installed. Can anyone out there, can
tell me what I can do about it, I need the parallel port badly. The two act as
one. one it is a replica of the other they are synchronizing data in a periodic
way but the in case on down time the other will take over whatever the other
are doing for instance printing. So can anyone help me on this.
I issue a command on the 64 bit
dmesg | grep parport
output: 34.406348] parport_pc: probe of 00:0a failed with error -22
lsmod | grep parport
parport_pc 40816 0
parport 44172 3 ppdev,lp,parport_pc
I know there is something wrong.
