When we are just starting out to build a home PC system, we think that 250watt
power supply is all we need. Then when we get more money, we want to get
more and more stuff that we want to put into the box, and pretty soon, our power
supply can't handle all those additions. So my STRONG RECOMMENDATION is to get
the highest wattage power supply that you can afford, from the start. Then
install fan here and fan there: two power supply fans, one CPU fan mounted not
on the CPU (since the constant vibration could unseat the CPU from its socket),
one hard disk fan per drive, two chassis/body fans. The new Intel Core, Intel
Core Duo, Intel Core2 Duo, Intel Quad Core, etc are all crazy about spewing all
that heat everywhere -- so extra fans help. Besides we live in a tropical
country, and our rooms are not all airconditioned, so fans help.

There is one more problem for which I have no solution: how to keep dust out of
the CPU box. What kind of dust filters will not increase the heat inside the
box?
Is it better to just vacuum the box every two months?
