ehem....first BBS in 1986...Obet started with Fido in 1987 in a 2 floppy drive system, rewrote it in Clipper in 1988 when he moved to PDAF...whose head Danding Yotoko (the dad of Isabel Yotoko) also ran a BBS...and where the EB's are usually held on Sat. PMs... Bill's board came in 1989 ... and was at some time in the 90's as the link to the outside world (Fidonet)...to the rest of the community...but of course don't forget Eddie Manalo's WildFire? TBBS using Packet Radio to connect to Japan (the other link to the rest of the world). Then again, this is OT. Linux was still a figment of LT's mind then. :) AT that time, LT's was tearing Minix apart, much to the disgust of AST when Linux first came out... _________________________________________________ > Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List > [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) > Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists > Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph >
