For over a month now, we have problem with our router (CISCO 2800 series). A daily recurring "Request time out" of our router happens at certain time between 10pm to 6am the following day. This has been going on for more than a month now. Whenever we have this situation, we have no internet connection.
We have a web/mail server running on debian and our mail is qmail/squirrel mail, and we also have a radius server. During the router's "request time out", we disconnected the web/mail server and we got some reply from the router. When we disconnected the radius server (with web/mail server also disconnected), we got a consistent clean reply from the router, then internet connection is restored. We tried connecting back the two of them and the internet suddenly died down with the router's "request time out". We did this test over and over with the same result. The telco said they have no connection problem on their side, and that the problem is in our internal network according to them. What could be the possible cause(s) of this problem? How will I remedy it? Btw, I'm not well-versed in Linux server administration or network administration. Thanks, guys. _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
