Hello All,

I'm in the middle of trying to find out what the best path would be for
(re)installing my test CentOS  4.4 server system;

2 questions

was trying to setup CentOS Web Stack and tried the instructions found here:

but was getting an error message (it would go through all the mirrors but
the metadata on thre primary.tar.gz would not match the checksum). then
after doing a reboot i tried doing the instructions here:

http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/Readme.txt

but when i ran my upgrade statement it said that

yum --enablerepo=centosplus upgrade php*
Loading "priorities" plugin
Setting up Upgrade Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
234 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Could not find update match for php*
No Packages marked for Update/Obsoletion

Since I am using the centosplus repo shouldnt it upgrade my php to 5 from 4
?

Also, why does it take a reboot to get rid of the metadata consistencies?
Is there a command that I could run to "synch" yum ?

(I just installed the priorities plugin as advised, it seemed thats why i
needed the reboot.

TIA ( i hope im making sense, trying to get this all figured out)
