just tried using fedora6 and centos 5 and still getting the same error. im just
confused having this /dev/hdg wherein my hdd is sda1. is this sata driver
problem with the distro? i hope we can solve this, it will stop me from using
windoze on 4 servers, i have 4 servers alike =(

is there any ide installed? better check your boot loader configuration or the
device mapping...
or better install again on clean environment.
