Best distro for gaming? I guess almost all distros are suited for gaming. But 
I think this is a question of "what kind of hardware should I be using for 
gaming?".

Game Server... now this is partly hardware related. I don't think you're users 
would be satisfied with the performance if you have P2/P3-512MB. Also look 
into the bandwidth. You should at least have 1Mbps upstream broadband 
connection. As for the distro, I highly advise you install a source-based 
distro like Gentoo, or even Source Mage, for performance reasons. Stock 
installs aren't really preferred since you'll need as much optimization as 
you can get from both your OS and your hardware.

I don't think there's a package for Unreal Tournament, CSS, and Battlefield 
1942. But that's just me, I don't really know since I'm not fond of Windows 
games. However, if there's no Linux package, then don't serve those games in 
emulation mode even if it works (mostly Cedega) since it'll hog your 
resources. Well, actually you can, but it's not recommended. You'll only 
frustrate your users.
