Hi Riaghan, welcome to Linux! :D

There's quite a lot of documentation regarding mail server setup in
the form of HOWTOs and guides, but most of these are in connection
with some particular mail transport agent (MTA) implementation such as
Postfix, Qmail, or Exim. The HOWTOs on The Linux Documentation
Project[0] are one such resource. You can also do a Google search[1]
on this.

Actually, the hard part isn't in installing the mailserver software
anymore (today its pretty much a matter of pulling from your distro's
repository, but in RH9 you may have to set up build environment to
make from source, if you can't get RPMs.) Mailservers vary in
configuration tactics, so I would suggest choosing the one which bests
suits you and helps you set up quickly and easily without compromising
security.

Cheers,

Zakame
