Guys, anybody owned a Tecra laptop from before? I bought one last year, it has problem with the lcd. When I grip the left side, the display becomes fine.
I opened it and found the connector loose. After putting it back together, it is so dim can't see a thing jim :-) but definitely outputs something (I'm still using RH6.2 on it, hehehe). I noticed an 'eye' on the panel... This might be a reason for the loss of brightness. Can somebody verify if lcd panels have anti-tampering mechanisms like this and how to get around this.
