I find it difficult to imagine what sort of questions to ask David Axmark. I believe that the usual "magazine-article interviews" are useless, and provide no information that you can't already Google.
What I would like to know, for example, is when MySQL will come up with certain useful features, such as... 1) persistent memory database (and I'm not talking about MySQL Cluster!) 2) better clustering than MySQL Cluster! 3) partitioning tables across MySQL servers so you can do parallel queries -- the "Federated Table" mechanism is laughable.
