The first step is getting the script run on boot up. This depends on
your distribution. You could get luck trying the /etc/rc.boot
or /etc/rc.local scripts, or my preference is to create my own script
in /usr/local/bin or /usr/local/sbin and then create the necessary
symlinks in /etc/rc?.d.
The next step is to get the commands within the script executed as a
regular user. To do so all you need is to use su, ie:
su -c foobar - joe
