a pleasant linux/bsd/unix day to everyone! i finally got nagios 2.10 and fruity 1.0 rc2 working correctly, i believe i made a post sometime last week regarding an error: ERROR: new_main_conf failed. during the import procedure for fruity.
the problem guys is the directive which you can just leave as is: (meaing commented) here is the actual line directive thats causing the problem. # HOST AND SERVICE PERFORMANCE DATA FILE TEMPLATES # These options determine what data is written (and how) to the # performance data files. The templates may contain macros, special # characters (\t for tab, \r for carriage return, \n for newline) # and plain text. A newline is automatically added after each write # to the performance data file. Some examples of what you can do are # shown below. #host_perfdata_file_template=[HOSTPERFDATA]\t$TIMET$\t$HOSTNAME$\t$HOSTEXECUTIONTIME$\t$HOSTOUTPUT$\t$HOSTPERFDATA$ #service_perfdata_file_template=[SERVICEPERFDATA]\t$TIMET$\t$HOSTNAME$\t$SERVICEDESC$\t$SERVICEEXECUTIONTIME$\t$SERVICELATENCY$\t$SERVICEOUTPUT$\t$SERVICEPERFDATA$ #host_perfdata_file_template=[HOSTPERFDATA]\t$TIMET$\t$HOSTNAME$\t$HOSTEXECUTIONTIME$\t$HOSTOUTPUT$\t$HOSTPERFDATA$ #service_perfdata_file_template=[SERVICEPERFDATA]\t$TIMET$\t$HOSTNAME$\t$SERVICEDESC$\t$SERVICEEXECUTIONTIME$\t$SERVICELATENCY$\t$SERVICEOUTPUT$\t$SERVICEPERFDATA$ # NOTE: THE ABOVE SECTION HAS BEEN COMMENTED OUT BECAUSE OF SERIOS IMPORT ISSUES WITH FRUITY VER. 1.0 RC2 # TESTED BY: R65, Ronald Allan V. Tomimbang hope this helps alot. specially those sysadmins using nagios with fruity. cheers!!! p.s. cause there isn't much listed on the forums describing a solution to this particular problem. -- Ronald Allan V.
