Looks like djbdns is promising. I'm installing it right now and it is quite 
easy compare to bind. 
Hopefully, you might find your howto :P

I use DJBDNS almost exclusively, and am very happy with it. I wouldn't
go into a pissing contest comparing it with BIND, especially since the
latest BIND has plugged most/all of the major issues with the previous
generations. If you've got any specifics you'd like to know about DJBDNS
just fire away to make it easier for the DJBDNS users on the list to
answer them.

Before I use BIND but encountered some problems with my firewall. I dunno what 
causing it but even the newest version is not working properly. I switched to 
DJBDNS and the setup was easy. just took me a day to migrate all and up to now 
its working perfectly... I have these how to i made, just misplaced it hehe
