Hi Dexter, I finally got it working, the problem is the sim card is no longer active. I finally got it to work using a different sim mounted on a commzgate modem. the project is actually making nagios notification and alerts forward emails to the sms gateway and alert those members of the team of problems on the network. we are close to achieving that goal.
hey, thanks so much for the info. it helps. more power! Hey, Ronald. The smstools config file is pretty straightforward. (I've worked with that using a Falcom modem back in my PhilRice days, but writing my own polling scripts was a very painful experience.) You may also want to look at Gammu (pretty active development) or Kannel (very powerful). Hope that helps. -- Ian Dexter R. Marquez http://feeds.iandexter.net/Coredump -- Ronald Allan V.
