Hi,

to your a) point:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] smbclient -L 192.168.1.11
will show you the shares, so remember the printer name.

configure CUPS (locahost:631) with a new printer (choose windows printer
via SAMBA option) at:

smb://user:passsword/192.168.1.11/PRINTERNAME

user, password might be optional. then choose the appropriate ppd file
(driver) from the list. 

print a test page. that should be it.
