most of the time technical merits are not enough to convince a large enterprise
to migrate from one system to another unless that company is not that
large that
they don't care about it, or that company is just starting out to
deploy its infra-
structure, or that company is having some serious issues that they've already
allocated a budget for the migration.

migration and downtime costs money especially if the team can't guarantee a
seamless switch over. the management might not take your word for it unless
you have a good track record for doing that kind of operation.
