It's not just the signal.

When I _had_ a weroam usb modem, I configured it so that it only connects if 
there's a 3G or HSDPA signal.  And while I do get it, and the connection is 
maintained all throughout my commute from QC to Muntinlupa, the transfer speed 
is not that fast.  Even when I'm stationary (at the office or at home), 
throughput is like a roller coaster ride.
