Hi,
If you want to have centralized monitoring of your error messages, you can
use nagios. you can create your own plugin on it. and you can configure it to
send email alerts on your sysadmin or via SMS.
thanks

Hi,
where can i find a list of error messages (hardware, kernel, system, memory) or
early sign of failures for a Redhat EL that goes to /var/log/messages? our
dev team is trying to develop a tool that would monitor (real-time) and alert
the sys admin of the problem.
thanks.
