Same here. Had a kernel panic problem on my test server running Centos 5 this morning. It did not boot after resetting so I just removed a RAM module (found to be defective) and the machine ran smoothly afterwards.

HDD/(or in RAID) and RAM are the usual culprits. can you also send the exact kernel panic message to the list. I agree, we had a similar issue with one of our client's server, it just a case of defective RAM. Upon replacing the RAM the server is back up and running again.
