Data inside the storage = *Asset*, and I am not going to gamble my
career with that HOWTO on production servers.  Maybe I will try that
on one of my test bed server.  In addition to that, 24 hours or
rebuilding the aray is a total PITA.

The ultimate FS I've ever seen is the Sun Solaris ZFS.
